the seed pools extend the logic of the seeds series into functional space, proposing carved stone forms that operate as both sculpture and functional object. derived from freehand geometric studies, the works translate the visual language of the drawings into inhabitable structures defined by fractured edges, contained voids, and irregular symmetry.
conceived as monolithic stone works, the forms continue the series’ investigation into containment, transformation, and psychological architecture. their scale invites physical occupation while preserving the tension between stability and disruption that characterizes the broader body of work.
positioned between domestic object, architecture, and artifact, the pools examine the relationship between interior experience and external structure. volume becomes both vessel and boundary, proposing space itself as a material through which control, ritual, and reflection may be negotiated.
like the broader seeds series, the seed pools explore how opposing conditions may coexist within a single form. function and symbolism, monumentality and intimacy, permanence and transformation remain suspended in a state of productive equilibrium.
