Early 2010s
United Kingdom
A sculptural mixed-media jacket by Peter Pilotto, combining richly textured multicolor tweed with bold contrast piping, quilted nylon patch pockets, and a dramatic detachable hood trimmed in voluminous Mongolian sheepskin. Embroidered zigzag motifs on the oversized front pockets introduce a utilitarian counterpoint to the refined textile base, while gold-tone snap closures reinforce the structured, almost military-inspired front. Slightly flared through the body with adjustable side tabs, the silhouette balances function, craftsmanship, and architectural outerwear construction.
